Edencrest is recruiting for a Regional Director of Life Enrichment. This role will work to drive customer acquisition and retention efforts within Edencrest, our flagship brand. They are responsible for overseeing, guiding and supporting the sales and marketing efforts of communities not only in their assigned building but all communities in the Edencrest brand; providing leadership, mentoring, sales training and coaching for community teams; and ensuring the ongoing development and execution of comprehensive and effective sales and marketing plans. They are also responsible for identifying and escalating operational barriers to sales effectiveness and resident retention. They are ultimately accountable for providing a clear roadmap that will allow operations to meet or exceed occupancy goals!
Here are a few of the daily responsibilities of the Regional Director of Life Enrichment:
- Provide guidance and support to life enrichment coordinators in planning and executing activities such as arts and crafts, fitness classes, educational workshops, cultural events, and social outings.
- Ensure programs promote physical, social, cognitive, and emotional well-being while fostering a sense of community and engagement.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement a daily activity program in compliance with organizational guidelines and standards.
- Communicate program schedules and activities through facility newsletters, bulletin boards, and activity events.
- Coordinate resident transportation for activities, appointments, and outings.
- Organize and lead off-site outings for residents, ensuring safe coordination for participants.
- Coordinate and oversee volunteer opportunities.
- Recruit volunteers and community organizations to provide programs and activities for residents; train and recognize volunteers.
- Assist with community public relations as needed and develop avenues for volunteers to work with residents.
- Recruit, onboard, train, mentoring land directly oversee the community Life Enrichment Directors, ensuring they have the necessary knowledge and skills to create meaningful experiences for residents.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and personal and professional growth.
- Assist with performance evaluations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures where necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of life enrichment programs through resident feedback, surveys, and data analysis.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and innovations in senior living to continuously improve and expand program offerings.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create and manage budgets for life enrichment operations within the region.
- Monitor and control costs, ensuring efficient procurement practices and minimizing waste.
- Work closely with community teams to understand residents' preferences and receive feedback on programs.
- Implement resident-focused initiatives to enhance satisfaction and engagement.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by addressing concerns and resolving issues related to life enrichment programs.
- Work with senior leadership, life enrichment coordinators, and external partners to develop collaborative partnerships and leverage resources for program enhancement.
- Represent the organization at professional conferences, networking events, and community meetings to build relationships and promote the company’s life enrichment initiatives.
Here are a few of the qualifications we need you to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in recreation therapy, gerontology, social work, or a related field. Preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a senior living or healthcare setting
- Experience in activity program development, implementation, and management within a senior living or related environment.
- Knowledge of senior living industry, trends, and regulations.
