Grounds Crew

Department: Woodland Hills - Maintenance
Location: West Des Moines, IA

Position Summary

Woodland Hills Golf Course is seeking a highly motivated individual who is eager to help maintain and provide top notch playing conditions at a well-known establishment. This position will provide the tools to learn day to day golf course management, not just daily routines. Work schedule will be Monday through Friday plus some weekends. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Participates in all aspects of the daily maintenance tasks, including but not limited to trash pickup, changing cups, raking sticks, blowing leaves, parking lot cleanup.
  2. Ensures the golf course is set up and ready for golfers every day. Setup includes the movement of tee markers, changing cup locations on the greens, trash pickup and any other related tasks.
  3. Assists the superintendent with projects such as irrigation repair and maintenance, sodding, seeding, tree cleanup, hand watering, weed eating, tree planting, landscaping, and cart path maintenance.
  4. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more, frequent bending or squatting.
  • Must be available to work during summer holidays.
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Must remain alert at all times to perform essential job functions.
