Golf Cart Attendant

Department: Woodland Hills - Maintenance
Location: West Des Moines, IA

Position Summary

The golf cart attendant maintains the golf cart fleet and assists guests by ensuring that carts are ready and available for guest use. Flexible work schedule depending on the varying needs of the golf course.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Meets and greets guests in a friendly and professional manner.

2. Assists with opening and closing of the cart operations.

3. Keeps the outside work areas uncluttered, neat, and clean. Organizes cart fleet in order to prevent carts from clogging passage areas. Arranges carts in an orderly fashion after use.

4. Maintains the condition of golf cars with specific attention to their cleanliness and appearance. Responsible for maintenance of cart supplies, cart condition, and fueling.

5. Maintains the rotation of golf cart fleet to ensure uniform usage.

6. Maintains a professional appearance at all times.

7. Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Minimum age of 16 years old.
  • Must be available to work during summer holidays.
  • Tolerance to all extremes of hot and cold temperatures, as necessary.
  • Work around, handle, operate, and control hot equipment and products in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work at a pace consistent with changing business volumes and demands.
  • Must remain alert at all times to perform essential functions of the position.

Success Factors

  • Knowledge and basic understanding of the game of golf.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working around, handling, operating, and controlling kitchen equipment and products in a safe manner.
  • Ability to work at a pace consistent with changing business volumes and demands.
